  • Beginner: Learning starts at the very beginning of gaining knowledge

  • Novice: Familiar with the very basics of their camera & photography | Familiar with darkroom & film developing

  • Competent: Have a working knowledge of their D/SLR camera; have basic understanding of composition & lighting | Experience with basic film developing

  • Skilled: Proficient in manual shooting modes, metering, histograms, lens selection on their D/SLR cameras; have advanced understanding of composition & lighting | Proficient with film developing
